CAR drivers in Malvern are being invited to have their vehicles washed and waxed for charity this weekend by people who really know how.
Andrew Phillips Funeral Services in Malvern Wells will be holding a fundraising car washing service on Saturday and Sunday, July 11-12 in aid of St Richard’s Hospice.
Drivers can drop in at the firm's offices in Wells Road between 11am and 4pm and have their cars washed and waxed by the funeral service’s professional valets in return for a voluntary donation to the charity. The event will have a party atmosphere, with light refreshments and a BBQ available. There will also be a raffle for boxed presentation sets of event co-sponsors Bullet Wax Kits used by the professional valets.
Mr Phillips said: “As funeral directors we’re used to washing cars and so whether you just want a quick wash or a full wax we would like to invite people to pop down on the day and use our professional car washing service. St. Richard’s Hospice has always been a charity close to my heart. The hospice has cared for family friends during their illnesses and the care that was given was amazing. So many times we hear very moving stories about the professional and caring service given by St Richard’s to families. So it is with great privilege that we can do a little to support this important local charity.”
