A DAY of celebrations is being held to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Priory Park will play host to a day of celebrations as Her Majesty marks 70 years on the throne.
Live music and dancing will fill the greenspace on Sunday, June 5.
Mayor of Malvern, councillor Nick Houghton will open the event.
He said: “This is planned to be a great family day and we hope for a great weather.
“Please come along and enjoy the afternoon and celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.”
Malvern Chase Brass Band will get things underway at midday with traditional and vintages tunes to mark the special occasion.
Candy and the Sound will then take over, serving up an hour of swing music starting at 1.30pm.
From 2.35pm, Coolmoves Dance Moves will entertain crowds with a Lindyhop demonstration.
Then at 3pm, Trip for Biscuits will take to the stage with some instrumental music.
There will be other activities taking place throughout the day including a children’s vintage ride, refreshments including Jubilee cupcakes and a candy floss stall, as well as a crown making workshop and golden throne, offering the chance for a regal photo opportunity.
The day will come to a close at 4.30pm with a sing a long performance of Land oh Hope and Glory and the national anthem, with flags and cardboard crowns to be handed out to visitors.

The Priory Park fun day is just one of the many events taking place across the town to mark the Platinum Jubilee.
Earlier in the week, on Thursday, June 2, a specially designed beacon will be lit on top of the Malvern Hills.
Vice Lord-Lieutenant Roger Brunt CBE, a local bugler, will officially announce the lighting at 9:40pm with a unique bugle call written for the occasion, titled Majesty.
The beacon, at the peak of the Worcestershire Beacon, will then be set alight at 9:45pm, joining more than 1,500 flames across the country and beyond.
Anyone wishing to join in the occasion is advised to arrive in good time, wear suitable footwear and clothing, and bring a torch.
