THE reason why a main road in Worcester was closed has been revealed.
Motorists were met with long traffic delays in the city centre from this morning (Sunday) due to access towards Lowesmoor Road being forbidden.
This is due to the road being closed, with traffic restrictions put in place.

Severn Trent are on site along the road to install a new service connection, which is scheduled to last until 6pm.
The road closure has caused there to be a lot of congestion in the city centre throughout the day as well as delays to bus services.
An eyewitness said there was a lot of traffic along the A38 towards the St Martin's Gate roundabout.
Pedestrians were also unable to access Lowesmoor due to the walkway being closed.
