IT'S now Sunday, September 14, and I’ve been back from my holiday a week and it seems like it’s been a year.

I had a good time; the weather in farthest Cornwall was much better than in Worcestershire it would seem we even made a couple of visits to the beach and I went for a swim/surf... Absolutely brilliant.

The training has progressed too. During the holiday I went running three times at four miles each, plus the workouts in the surf. I came home ready for upping the ante.

Therefore on Sunday last, I tried a new route. From the bottom of the Link, went up Church road, up to Newtown Road, up to Link Top, across to town centre, down Church Street to Barnards Green, past Clive's fish house to Pound Bank Road, along Mayfield Road to Roman Way, past Morrisons and back home> One hour and 10 secs, 6.3 miles and it was pleasant to do, felt really chuffed, but a long way to go yet but, pleased to have done 6miles an hour.

Went to gym Tuesday, did quite good workout used 825kcals.

Thursday had to take car into Martins garage at Callow End (power steering had packed up) ran from there to Callow End, to Powick and up main road to Malvern and home; 50 mins, five miles, really struggled with this one I was hurting and hot and thought I was going to die, LOL.

Sunday 15th: Well, went to my mates at 6am today and we went for a run, my first with someone else. was scared to death I’d make a fool of myself, we ran his five mile course and once I’d got over a little panic in the first 100 yards all went well and we finished in a little under 50 mins. At the end the last 100 is up hill so we had a bit of a sprint and I won. I was soo surprised to have anything left to sprint but it was there. It has done me a lot of good as I now have someone to gauge myself against.

I feel really good today and haven’t even been aching.
