WORCESTER-based regional law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys has welcomed 11 new trainee solicitors and rewarded outstanding contributions from existing trainees.

Five join the company from outside – Daniel De Saulles, Shakira Johnson, Kevin Mahoney, Henry Nelson-Case and Helen Gregory – with the other six rising up the ranks from within, Kashif Jamil, Jack Powell, Anika Pancholi, Sarah-Jayne Martin, Nathalie Needham and Mandeep Vryaparj.

Mr De Saulles will be based in Worcester initially, Mr Mahoney, Mr Nelson-Case and Miss Gregory in Cheltenham and Miss Johnson in Thames Valley, but all trainees move through different practice areas during their training so they all receive a wide variety of experience and have the chance to discover which area they would like to specialise in.

Cindy Bexfield, training principal and a partner in the firm’s commercial property team, said: “It is great to see so many young graduates joining the firm; we are always keen to nurture talent, and they will have so many opportunities here to get their careers off to a great start. Being able to experience different practice areas with excellent mentors in each is a great advantage.”

Rod Thomas, the firm’s managing partner, added: “I am delighted that we are able to bring on our own talent within the firm too – giving young lawyers a clear career path is vital to any firm’s growth and success, so to see six of them starting on this next step is very welcome.”

The firm also rewarded those who had made outstanding contributions, often supporting charity fund-raising efforts and organising internal and external events, Cris Manuel-Hughes, Eimir Tuckett, Hannah Wilding, Ellis Walby and Jamie Davies will all receive paralegal and trainee prizes in recognition of their efforts.
