HEAD coach Carl Hogg has dismissed speculation linking rugby league player Jamie Foster with a move to Worcester Warriors.
The 24-year-old goal-kicking winger, who has not been offered a new deal by Bradford Bulls, is keen to make a switch to rugby union.
Fans’ websites suggested Foster, who came through the ranks at his home-town club St Helens, could be on the verge of joining Warriors.
But Hogg said: “It’s nothing I have heard of — and I don’t believe it’s true.”
Warriors have now won three successive Greene King IPA Championship matches and travel to Rotherham Titans on Saturday (3pm).
It promises to be a return to South Yorkshire for former Rotherham duo Charlie Mulchrone and Dan Sanderson.
Hogg said: “Rotherham will be a really tough challenge and I am already speaking to guys like Charlie and Dan who were up there last year.
“We are fully aware of the challenge they present and it will be a tough game on a reasonably narrow pitch.”
Meanwhile, Worcester Cavaliers bid for their third successive Aviva ‘A’ League victory tonight against Northampton Wanderers at Sixways (7.30pm).
