THE Hunt family, father David and sons Alistair and Jonathan, dominated Bransford’s August medal.

David made the weekend better still when he doubled up for another triumph with a conclusive win in the club’s monthly stableford.

He won the club medal by just one stroke from eldest son Alistair, who plays off six and had the day’s lowest gross of 77 in Division One.

Younger son Jonathan, who has a 10 handicap, finished fifth with 73 nett, two behind his brother and three behind his father.

However, Division Two produced the outstanding round with Mike Madden cracking a lowest gross of 73 to finish 10 clear of his nearest rival with a nett 60.

David Hunt scored 79 gross 9 handicap 70 nett, Alistair Hunt 77-6=71, Andy Lammas 78-6=72, Adrian Bond 84-12=72, Jonathan Hunt 83-10=73 and Chris Eyers 80-7=73.

Madden managed 73-13=60, Stuart Wood 85-15=70, Steve Bourne 84-13=71, T Bridges 101-24=77, Josh Bourne 98-20=78 and Eliot Payne 95-14=81.

The stableford went the way of David Hunt with 40 points, while Sean Jones also made light of strong winds to card 42 to win Division Two.

David Hunt (8 handicap) scored 40, M Tipton (10) 37, Harry Chadwick (5) 36, Paul Ramadan (8) 35, Ollie Walker (3) 34 and Andrew Oliver 34.

Jones (25) managed 42, Carl Wiltshire (23) 36, S Freeman-Taylor (19) 35, Abi Nixon (32) 34, Bren Tally (28) 34 and Ian Ford (18) 33.

After winning their previous four club matches, Bransford seniors lost 5-1 at Little Lakes in Bewdley.

Paul Edlin (24) and Harry Godwin (17) won against Eddy Bye (17) and Dale McDonald (19) one-up.

But Rob Blake (15) and Mike Davidge (16) lost to Cliff Caddice (21) and Derek Brookes (20) one-down, Alan Wallcroft (23) and Roger Clark (22) against John Leigh  (8) and Steve Barker (21) 2&1, Ian Hamilton (12) and Mike Holmes (28) against Paul Bridgewater (12) and Tony Addington (20) 3&2, Trevor Atkinson (13) and Lee Dyment (20) against Phil Smith (15) and Ray Robinson (25) 4&3 and John Phillips (22) and Roy Williams (20) against Mike Crouch (15) and Al Brown (25) two-down.

The seniors’ August stableford was played in blustery conditions although it was warm and pleasant.

The day’s best score came in Division One where Gerry Rebbeck led the way with 41, two ahead of Peter Anthony.

There was also a two-point advantage in Division Two where Anne Hamilton finished with 39 to Wallcroft’s 37.

In Division Three, Robin Brighton (27) scored 38, Mike Kenway (31) and Adrian Wood (25) 37, Nixon (32), Roy Mayo (25) and Rob Walker (24) 35 and Phil Spencer (24) and John Burrow (27) 34.
