Barnards Green continued their surge up the Birmingham & District Premier Division Two table with yet another win as they prevailed by four wickets at Bridgnorth.

George Rhodes took five wickets in the hosts' first innings before putting on a match-winning 75-run partnership with Zain Ul-Hassan as the Green chased down the 155 total inside 30 overs to claim 24 points.

Jerome Taylor took three wickets as he continued to settle into life at the club, who now find themselves within 32 points of league leaders Wolverhampton.

The first team will look to keep up their winning run when they host Himley at North End Lane on Saturday.

There were also wins for both the seconds and the thirds last weekend.

A magnificent partnership of 189 runs between Elliot Hennessy and James Styles, both of whom finished with centuries, saw Green 2s post a mammoth 321/6 declared at home to Coombs Wood.

Hennessy's knock consisted of fourteen 4s and seven 6s and came from just 90 balls. Styles hit thirteen 4s and four sixes on his way to 104.

The away side were then bowled out for 183, still 138 runs short, as Ben Clements took an incredible 6-11 from just seven overs.

The thirds beat Bartestree & Lugwardine 2s by just 27 runs in a tight affair.

Ollie Davies scored 95 not-out before Max Middlebrooke and Amaan Edavalath took three wickets each to ensure the visitors could not chase down their total.
