MALVERN Town co-manager Stephen Cleal wants to "draw a line" under last weekend's 4-0 defeat at Frome Town ahead of Saturday's clash with Bishops Cleeve.

The Hillsiders conceded twice in each half as Frome cruised to three points as their hunt for the title continues, whilst Malvern were left to lick their wounds.

"We didn't going," said Cleal. "They are a good side, third in the table and pushing for the title.

"They didn't need the help from the referee and the linesman for the first two goals which is disappointing from our point of view but that's not saying we should have taken something from the game, we didn't deserve anything.

"We weren't good enough as a collective. They have been very good at home and we haven't been very good on our travels.

"We just have to draw a line under it. You can't say too much about a game like that. The last three games have been very good and we just need to get back to that.

"We are good at home, we know that. We can still be better but it will be nice to be back at home against another tough side."

Cleal will be reunited with old friends when Cleeve come to the HDAnywhere Community Stadium, having spent a number of years with the Gloucestershire outfit prior to coming to Malvern. The two sides played out a 0-0 draw at the back end of 2023.
